After 10 years of working in corporate America, Marty P. Hill wanted a change. His job as an executive search consultant may have been comfortable, it may have paid the bills but Hill wanted more, he wanted a challenge and he wanted to pursue his passion — in 2009, Hill left the corporate world and created Sweet Science Fitness Boxing Club.

Today, the Sweet Science Fitness Boxing Club is located in the metro Atlanta, Georgia area just 18 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta.
“Our location allows us to be centrally located,” said Hill. “Access from north, south, east and west within a 10-20 mile radius.”
Sweet Science Fitness Boxing Club specializes, of course, in teaching the sport of boxing but Hill wanted the club to be accessible.
“We teach the sport of boxing within a clean, safe and non-intimidating environment,” said Hill. “We specialize in teaching everyone from Atlanta’s business elite, corporate professionals, men, women and children.”
Last October, Hill worked with local Atlanta fitness equipment provider Fitness Depot – Atlanta to add a number of Body-Solid machines to their facility including some of Body-Solid’s Pro Dual line: leg curl/leg extension, lat pulldown/mid-row, multi-press and cable column.
“(Body-Solid) has been a great addition to our facility,” said Hill. “Not just functional-wise but aesthetics as well, the equipment compliments the environment and stands out within our space.”

When looking for equipment, Hill and Sweet Science Fitness needed equipment that was functional, durable, space-saving and, of course, cost effective.
“We wanted equipment that had the ability to do multiple things,” said Hill. “Boxing is all about lean, fast-twitch muscles so we wanted something that could help create a boxers build.”
The future looks bright for Hill and Sweet Science Fitness Boxing but in the meantime, they are keeping things focused on one objective said Hill, “We want to continue to make our client base happy and encourage new clients to add boxing to their fitness routines!”
